Hermann J. Stern's German book "Marktorientiertes Value Management," Stern, Wiley, Germany, 2007* describes the next phase of value management, indexing operating performance:

The book is written for managers who have already introduced value based management tools and processes and are looking for ways to improve the value orientation in their companies. The German article „Benchmarking im Aufsichtsrat zur Unternehmenssteuerung“ (PDF) is a good summary of the impact of indexed value management on boards.

The book was on the Financial Times Best Selling List. The publisher getAbstract has rated the book 9 out of a possible 10 points (English abstract available at Obermatt).
